Meeting of Ambassador Ara Margarian with the Mayor of Kaunas

On August 13, Ambassador Ara Margarian met with Mayor of Kaunas Visvaldas Matijošaitis.

The interlocutors exchanged views on a broad range of issues related to the bilateral agenda and opportunities for developing decentralized cooperation.

Both sides highlighted the active presence of the Armenian community in Kaunas and its valuable contribution to the city’s social and cultural life.

In the context of events marking the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia, the sides also discussed the possibility of organizing a cultural event dedicated to Armenia in Kaunas.
